I started in Gränichen at the Swiss National Championships with the expectation to be on the podium. Unfortunately my goal was soon to be unreachable.

From the previous years I knew the race would be fast and tactical on this course. But from the beginning on it was faster than I expected. In the first lap already Schurter and Vogel had a gap to the following group I was in. I tried to catch them again but I was just not fast enough. In the next laps I was in the group with L. Flückiger, Giger and Wildhaber. We fighted for the third place. In the middle of the race I couln't follow an attack from the others, so I was on 6th position. I kept this rank until the end.

I had good legs but I am obviously not happy with the ranking.

Already next weekend we will be at the upcoming World Cup in Champery.
