Martin Gujan
José Hermida Ramos (SPA) new Cross Country World Champion 2010.

Martin Gujan becomes disappointing 16th at the mountain bike world championship in Mt. St. Anne, CAN. On this tricky, technically challenging track some riders crashed in front of Gujan and blocked his way. After he found back his rhythm and overtook a couple of riders, he had a real wheel defect why he lost another position.

“When you get some riders in front of you crashing and blocking your way, you can see a good position riding away, it blocks you mentally. I tried to make up some positions, but did not have good legs. In the second to last lap I then had a wheel problem. I am very disappointed, it did again not work out”, he said.

Jose Antonio Hermida (SPA) wins with a time of 01:52:26 on his favorite track in Mt. St. Anne. Czech Jaroslav Kulhavy, who won his first XCO World Cup in Windham (USA) last week, becomes second with 29 seconds behind, Burry Stander (RSA) third. Favorized Schurter becomes 4th, French Absalon 5th.
