The second World cup in this year took part in England. For me it was the first time on this course.

Right after the start I had a good position and could ride in the first positions. The legs didn’t feel like I expected, they have been really good. It was important to be always in front of the group due to the lots of singletrails it has. The pace was everytime quite high so there was no time to recover. But I really had to recover for a short time. It never happend today. I always was at the limit and nearly exploded. Till the middle of the race I could stay just a little bit behind the group who was fighting for the second place. Unfortunately the gap was getting bigger and bigger. I crossed the finish line totally exhausted   on the 15th place.

The goal was  a top 10 place what I didn’t succeed. I tried everything but I couln’t go faster. The good thing is that I can fight with the best at the beginning. That makes me confident for the next World cup in Offenburg.

The whole race can be rewatched online
