Like always a tecnical course with lots of roots and rocks was expecting us. I took my time for the track inspection. Before the start I was sure that I did everything to success. There was just the hot and humid weather I had a lot respect.

I started from the second start lane. On the first hundret meters I could gain some positions and was around 10th place. The course was a little bit wet from the rain in the morning and I had some problems with it. But everybody had it. After that I found my rhythm and did my race. It's normal that you do some riding mistakes during this race in Mont Ste Anne, so did I. But I never crashed. But then in the second last lap I was drinking on a flat section and suddendly I was on the ground because I touched the ground with my crank. For a moment I lost my pace and I suffered a lot. In addition it stared to rain and became really slippery. Due to my careful riding Näf could close the gap to me and we went together on the last part of the track. Unfortunately I couldn't hold his wheel and arrived as 12th.

In the overall standing I moved forward to 16th place.
